The MacMurray Foundation & Alumni Association is pleased to announce that the closing ceremony, Hail to MacMurray: A Fond Farewell, is now available on the Foundation’s YouTube channel. The ceremony, held June 18, 2022 served as a celebration of the college as well as providing an outlet for alumni to share in the sadness of the college’s closing in May, 2020. The ceremony was delayed because the first gathering of alumni since the college closed was rescheduled due to COVID.
Organized under the leadership of Katie Petrikin ’77, Chair of the Board of Trustees Closing Ceremony Committee, the full program is available and runs approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. An additional 13 shorter segments feature the keynote address by Dr. Allen Croessmann, a tribute to the college and alumni through the decades, reminiscences, alumni choir performances and a Holy Fools alumni presentation. The Class of 2020 was recognized as their commencement ceremony was cancelled due to COVID.
