MacMurray College President Beverly Rodgers said in an email statement to the Class of 2020 that a special graduation tribute video has been prepared to recognize the students’ achievements and distinctions. The video will premiere on Saturday, May 9, at noon, and can be viewed at www.mac.edu/graduation.
Her email to students is as follows:
We all need moments of good cheer.
This Saturday, May 9th, would have marked the 169th Commencement for MacMurray College. As you know, we are still seeking to reschedule this event, possibly later this summer. In the interim, though, I am happy to share that we have prepared a special graduation tribute video that will allow you to hear your names read aloud and see some of your scholarly and athletic distinctions.
The first-of-its-kind video (for Mac Fam) will be made available at mac.edu/graduation at noon this Saturday, May 9th.
Available on YouTube, we encourage you to watch it “together” with your family and friends. Although it’s not the same as the true experience, we hope it captures some of the spirit and accomplishments of your senior year.
Please join me in thanking our staff, especially Todd Spann and the Communications team, for sending emails, sorting through photo files, and engaging other areas of campus in their efforts to compile this tribute.
Stay safe as you celebrate! We are so proud of this Class of 2020.
Congratulations!
